Ideagen Mail Manager Administrators that need to change the path of the Shared Configuration Folder

IT knowledge & access required.

The following procedure is used to update the shared configuration folder path on users PC's. This may be required when the server currently hosting the shared configuration folder is going to be decommissioned.

Notes:

• This article only applies to the self service per-user installer
• This article assumes that there are no changes required to the Collections, Filing Location and Preferences

1. Copy the existing shared configuration folder and its contents to the new location.
2. Go to: https://content.mailmanager.com/install/peruser - this will download the per-user-installer.exe.
3. Run per-user-installer.exe - this will open the Install Ideagen Mail Manager window
4. Select Multi User > Self Service
5. Enter your licence ID and licence password
6. Enter the new shared configuration folder path
7. Choose where the installer will be created e.g. ...\Desktop
8. Select Next
9. Select Accept terms and create installer (exe)
10. Save the created exe to a shared folder
11. Instruct users to:
    1. Download the exe from the shared folder
    2. Exit Outlook
    3. Run the exe
    4. After the download is complete open Outlook
    5. Ideagen Mail Manager will now use the new Shared Configuration folder path
