| Error or Issue | Unable to file to SharePoint |
| Description | Status displays “403 error (Forbidden)” Email displays 'pending' (small 'p) |
| Solution/ workaround | In general, for filing issues check that the email appears in the Sent Items folder. If not go to Options | Mail and make sure “Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder” is enabled. If you cannot file to SharePoint or MS Teams, one or more of the following reasons may be the cause. Access to folder on SharePoint If emails remain as 'pending', then check access to the location folder. Ask the site owner to check and if necessary grant you access ('Contributor') to the folder. Create SharePoint locations using full address path Please do not create locations using 'Copy link' option or a SharePoint shortcut and instead copy the full address from the SharePoint page. Follow steps below to create SharePoint locations: 1. Navigate to the SharePoint site and copy its full path from the address bar to the clipboard. 2. From Mail Manager select Tools | Locations 3. Select the type of location SharePoint 4. Paste the copied SharePoint folder 5. Select a Collection to which the location will be added to and select OK 6. Exit and save the changes when prompted Note: Up to 30 minutes later you will be able to search items that have been filed into your SharePoint filing locations. SharePoint locations are not verified and appear as off-line. |
