Users who understand what Egnyte is and how it works.

1. What is Egnyte?

Egnyte is a secure cloud-based file sharing system. Egnyte will work with Mail Manager if you do not use "smart cache" however it is not officially supported.

2. Integration

Mail Manager integrates with Egnyte only via its desktop app, which maps Egnyte folders as a Windows drive (e.g. Z:\).

• Filing locations are set up using the Egnyte drive on the user's PC.
• Search works by indexing emails stored in Egnyte-synced drive folders.

Note: Available Egnyte folders and files depend on the user's access permissions.

3. Limitations

1. Mail Manager does not directly integrate with Egnyte cloud folders and files.
2. Egnyte's locally synced folders may become unavailable if unused for a while, causing "Folder not found" errors or missing emails in searches. Manually opening the folder in Windows Explorer can fix this.
3. Egnyte's "Smart Cache" is not supported, as it causes cache storage issues with Mail Manager's indexer.
