Correcting emails accidentally filed to the wrong location

This article explains what to do if you have accidentally filed an email to the wrong location.
1. Correcting using the Dashboard
When emails are filed, they are saved to the location in question and listed on the dashboard.
To move or delete emails this way:
- Bring up the Dashboard.
- Right-click the email row.
- Select Move to....
If there are multiple emails filed incorrectly:
- Use keyboard shortcuts to highlight multiple emails.
- Click Move to... at the top of the screen.
2. Correcting using the storage system
To move or delete emails this way:
- Bring up the Dashboard.
- Right-click the email row.
- Select Explore filing location.
- Identify the correct .msg file.
- Move it to a different location or delete it.
3. Troubleshooting the methods
If these don't work, it may be that your configuration prevents users from being able to move or delete files in this way.
You should be able to test this be creating a simple text file in the location, and seeing if you can move or delete that file.
If you are unable to modify the file, speak to the storage system administrators to rectify this.
