Message Rename Tool
Who is this article for?Mail Manager Administrators renaming filed messages.
File edit access is required.
The Message Rename tool is used to rename filed messages using the received file name pattern defined by your User Preferences (EmailFiling.cfg).
The tool will scan the selected file system folder and all its sub-folders, renaming messages as needed.
Any duplicate messages are moved to a sub-folder called Duplicates; you can then delete the folders as required.

- Navigate to the Mail Manager installation folder e.g.
C:\Program Files\Mail Manager\Support
or
%localappdata%\Mail Manager\Program Files\Support - Open MessageRename.exe
- The Message Rename window will appear:

Browse to the root folder you want to start scanning from (sub-folders will be included)

Select Start

Select Open Log to view progress

When complete the time taken will appear, select OK

Close the Message Rename window

Review any message moved to Duplicates folder
