Configuring Mail Manager for iOS and Android
Who is this article for?Mail Manager users accessing mail on the go.
Mail Manager must be installed.
Mail Manager for iOS and Android is designed to complement the Mail Manager desktop solution by connecting correspondence between office-based and field-based teams, extending the power of intelligent email management with on-the-go email filing, filing reminders, and file-upon-send capabilities.
1. Grant Apps access to your M365 tenant
- To grant apps access you need to have M365 administrator permissions. Please go to: https://content.mailmanager.com/appconsent
- Approve the following:
- Mail Manager Desktop (Sharepoint).
- Mail Manager Mobile Apps.
- Mail Manager Web Add-in (Optional).
- Mail Manager Background Services (Optional).
2. How to prepare Mail Manager
- Once approved, users who want to use the app should open Outlook on the Windows PC.
- Navigate to the Mail Manager ribbon.
- Click on Tools, User Preferences and then Microsoft 365.
- Enable Share locations from your PC.
- When prompted ensure you enter your credentials to allow Mail Manager to share your locations with the app on your Mobile.
3. How to setup the App
- Download and install the Mail Manager app on your mobile:
- Open the app on your mobile device.
- When prompted sign-in using your Microsoft 365 credentials.
- Review the inbuilt tutorials.
- The app will then connect to your Microsoft 365 mailbox.
- You will see a list of your emails, which you can read and file etc.
4. How to set up filing to network folders
Mail Manager can provide the Network locations as options to file on the Mobile App. Although the mobile app is not going to file the message, the selection of the location adds the message to a queue for filing.
Messages that are in the queue are then filed by the PC when the user next logs into their desktop installation of Mail Manager.
To enable this feature, an additional variable should be applied to your configuration.
EnableMobileNonSharepointFiling=1
