Creating a Mail Manager AutoDiscovery pattern using the Setup Builder

Administrator permissions are required.
The following article explains how to create a Mail Manager AutoDiscovery pattern using the Setup Builder.
1. Using the setup builder to make your AutoDiscovery pattern
- Open the Mail Manager auto discovery testing tool.
- Navigate to %localAppData%\Mail Manager\Program Files\x64.
- Run MailManager.Autodiscovery.exe.
- If prompted with "Windows protected your PC" select More info and Run anyway
- When discovering SharePoint folders choose SharePoint Setup Builder.
- If discovering File system (server) folders choose File system Setup Builder.
- Choose if you are creating a New Auto Discovery pattern, or opening an existing one to test.
- Select New to make your new Pattern.
- Then copy 3 separate paths to the folders where emails will be stored in the below fields.

- Then click Next and configure your Collection Name and Filing Location Description.
- Click Save and test to go back to the testing tool.
- You can test your new pattern, click Discover locations or get your new pattern by clicking Open test location.

Configure AutoDiscovery File:
- Rename your pattern file to either:
- "AutoDiscoveryFileSystem.txt" (for File System), or
- "AutoDiscoverySharePoint.txt" (for SharePoint)
- Place the renamed file in your Mail Manager Shared Configuration Folder
- Rename your pattern file to either:

Enable AutoDiscovery in Admin Preferences:
- Open Mail Manager Admin Preferences:
- In Outlook, go to: Mail Manager, Tools then User Preferences (CTL-SHIFT-E).
- Then enable one of the following:
- For File System: Local & Network Folders then Discover Filing Locations.
- For SharePoint: Microsoft 365, SharePoint then Discover Filing Locations.
