Administrators that want users to have the default personal collection removed.

Write permissions to the Shared Configuration Folder are required to complete the steps.

The default "Personal" collection can be removed via the Collections.txt file located in the Shared Configuration Folder. This article walks you through how to do that.

To locate the Collections.txt file:

1. Select Tools.
2. Choose User Preferences from the options.
3. Scroll down until you see the Shared configuration folder field.

4. Click Browse....
5. Open the Collection.txt file in a plain text editor (e.g.: Notepad).
6. Under the [Remove] heading, add the following: 
   
   

   [remove]

   %\Personal.mmCollection
   
   

After a few minutes, the "Personal" Collection will be removed from all users.
